I want to make a ganache covered cake for my friend's birthday. Can it be decorated (aside from chocolate dipped strawberries) or am I asking for trouble/will I mess up the nice smooth coating?

I'm wondering if I can use fondant decorations/stick to buttercream or forgo the whole decorating process icon_smile.gif

TIA

I have one in my photos that I decorated with buttercream roses. I didn't have any problems.

Can't you whip the left over ganache and decorate with that?
