I am doing a cake to be auctioned off for a benefit this weekend. The cake is chocolate with peanut butter chips in it. I plan to do a peanut butter cup filling. I was going to do a chocolate buttercream, but I don't know how that would taste? I really don't have time to experiment with alot of different recipes. I need something that will go on smooth. I plan on doing a pink fondant bow and pink polka dots. Any ideas, PLEASE!!! THANKS!!!!

I have a chocolate icing recipe in cake book that is delicious. It's just butter and chocolate. That's it!! I can't recall the author right now..I'm so tired. If you are intetested, I'd be happy to send you the recipe. You have to cream the butter, then slowly add in the melted (cooled) chocolate. It would not be good for hot weather, though. Check out my photo of "chocolate motrin" and "congratulations Amanda". The icing is silky smooth. If you chill it, it hardens. The recipe calls for semi and milk chocolate. I've just used chocolate chips, and it's been great. I think your combination sounds delicious. Who can get too much PB and chocolate?? : )
