I'm Not Happy With My C88!!!!

I got a GREAT deal on my printer ($40 new!), finally ordered the frosting sheets and cartridges. I have been fooling with this thing ALL day and the color and print quality stinks! The black is more like green and the output is just a lousy print. I have tried changing the different print qualities, etc. Is there something I'm missing???? 
I love my c88. I think you need to check the black ink cartridge and see if a small hole on top of that ink cartridge is open if not prick a hole with a pin. My ink was coming out green too until I realized that the hole was closed and I prick it open and if started working properly.
