First, my Antonia74 icing was way too runny. Asked for help...no one replied. Bumped myself...no one replied. Now my NFSC has failed me miserably as it is way too sticky. I made 6 batches last night to use today. It is all sticky. What do I do? Anyone?

Is it cold? I've never had it sticky, even warm, but other sugar cookie cut-out doughs I have used have been very temperature sensitive.

If it is sticky while cold, I suspect it is too wet, and adding some additional flour a little at a time should help.

(I don't use Antonia's recipe, so I can't help with that.)

When you measure your dry ingredients, do you do it by weight or measuring cup. If a measuring cup, do you scoop with your measuring cup or spoon it into the cup?

wellllll .. I am definately no expert on this .. but my guess would be to add some powdered sugar to your icing and maybe some flour to your cookie dough?

sorry you are having such a hard time. For your icing all you need to do is sift some more icing sugar into it until you get the consistency that you want as for your nfsc that is rather strange as the usual complaint is that it is way to dry and crumbly never heard of it being too sticky. I would suggest you double check the recipe to make sure you copied it right then double check that you followed it exactly. In the meantime mabye you can just add some flour until it is dryer. hope this helps. and good luck
