Yes! Especially the ones where in the middle I am like "where am I going with this?! It looks awful!" They always turn out fine, but I sure do have some anxious moments sometimes! icon_smile.gif

Because that's just the way it's supposed to be!

Seriously, you being nervous just shows how much you actually care about doing it...you want it to look right, taste right, etc.

Sometimes I still get a little nervous. he he, don't tell anyone

I also get way too nervous. I find that the more time I have between the order and the 'due date' the worse it is!! Probably because that means more time to be nervous about it! icon_lol.gif The best cakes I've done are the ones where the client calls you at 9:00 am and asks for a birthday cake that evening...I guess I work better under pressure! But just plan what you want it to look like, and remember that if it doesn't turn out excactly how you envisioned it, YOU can make it work because you're the one with the talent! Be confident that no matter what happens, in the end there will be a fabulous looking cake for everyone to eat!

I get sooooooo nervous too! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one!
Like everyone has said it's just wanting everything to be perfect. It seems to always come together in the end!

Nervous? Is that when you try to cover youre cake with icing or fondant you keep on walking around the house - in order to delay youre action?
Or that you can feel youre hart in youre throat?
SO yes: been there. I still am there - every time again. Like someone else stated before: it helps you making the cake perfect.
But I have to say - if I'm comparing youre pictures to mine - there is absolutely no reason for you to be nervous at!

i think that nervousness goes with cakes. Only cakes that i am not nervous with are my own kids cakes. I think i am little better now with birthday cakes but because i haven't done many wedding cakes these make me sleepless many nights before.

btw,Your cakes are beautiful!

I get nervous with every cake, I hate every cake I have ever done! I just see all the flaws! So I don't think you are alone..!!!

I HATE doing weddings...why do they put so much importance on just a big cake???

I get very nervous, also. I haven't been doing cakes for others for very long and I always want them to be poerfect. I complain the whole time that it doesn't look right(drives everyone around me nuts). So far I haven't had anything but raves, so I'll keep praying that GOD keeps it that way.I think it's worse when it is a church function because I definately don't want to take a disaster for many ppl to see. icon_redface.gif
