I have an order for a cake that is pretty tall and I am not sure how to box it. The cake is 2-layer 10" round with a baseball made from the soccer ball pan on top. It is a round ball not just half of it. I have done this same cake before (pic not posted yet), but I didn't have to box it up for delivery. I am not sure how tall it is, but I am thinking around 12"-15". Does anyone have any suggestions?
i've heard of using a rubbermaid storage box. put the cake on the lid, so the box is actually upside down.
when I have tall cakes, I use a large bakery box, and put the top down almost to where it touches the cake, tape the flaps to the sides of the box at that height, Then I take saran wrap and put it around the open portion of the cake box to keep the air out of it... tape it like a mad woman and voila!
