I am trying to give people some prices on things that I have previously made and I want some experts to tell me how much for this cow that I have made?? I don't think she really took me that long to make! Like maybe a couple hours. and I used fondant...should've done gumpaste! but, I haven't tried that stuff yet.
Thank you! icon_smile.gif

OK! couldn't attach! In my photos: Cow on Grassy Knoll picture! Just the cow! How much??

If you're wanting to price just the cow - I would say doing a "figure" should cost 15+? Maybe some of the CC'ers who have sold a few of these can answer this more definitively! I'm just figuring that if you take a couple of hours on something, you should be paid well for it! At least $10 an hour! I know some charge $10 for fondant decos on a cake, but I think that's for small embellishments, not major items like this!

Hi there i know i in NZ and my dollars well are different but as my dad says it is dollar for dollar at end of day coz if i had $100 in NZ to spend here its just that and if i had $100 in American the same thing.. anyway to the point i make toppers all the time and sell them to order. My price varies depending on if on plaque or not for something like your cow i would charge around the $15 without the plaque and $20 with. I find that some people query it and i just explain that that is why buying a whole cake is more beneficial as then deco is included in the price ifyou know what i mean.

Good luck

Oh and i use fondant i just add some tylose to it for hardening.

Hi Step,

How big is the cow? I love cows. Your cow is so cute. But I would go on the size of the cow and go from there.

Thank you Renaejrk for the bump!

I put $15 down on my website! I never thought of it as a cake topper! The cow was like 2" high...she wasn't very big. But I LOVED making her! Thanks everyone for your help! icon_wink.gif
