Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in a regular air brush system and one made specifically for cakes?

I would like to purchase one, but if a new air brush system from Hobby Lobby would work, why bother ordering one from KopyKake? I emailed KopyKake and asked the difference and no one has answered. TIA--Pam

There really is no difference..Just make sure you can lower the pressure on the compresser..I am going to be using the same one I used for airbrushing fingernails..Different gun, but same compresser..

There have been a lot of threads on this topic, but the answer is yes... there is a difference.

That's not to say that you couldn't use a NEW (read clean) craft airbrush for cakes BUT you may have some real problems!

Tha Airmaster is designed for cake decorating, so the pressure settings on the compressor are much lower (and the gun is designed to work with the lower pressure) so you don't risk blowing a hole in your icing!
The "tank" is on the top of the gun (gravity fed... not pressure fed)... again due to the lower pressure settings required for cakes. It's also smaller, so you don't need to waste much colour!

I have an airmaster, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
