Will this fit into my oven? I measured my oven rack and it is exactly 16". icon_surprised.gif I don't know if that would work since the pan might touch the front or back of the oven. If that is not an option, has anyone used the half pans? This will be the bottom layer of a 5 tier wedding cake and I want to make sure it will be supported and sturdy. TIA

That size won't fit my oven, you can get 1/2 pans here on CC or at www.bakingtools.com

I've don't know what size my oven/racks are but it fit in my oven. The door kind of pushed it a little when it closed but it wasn't a big deal.

My oven is the same - and I can only just shut the door with the pan inside - so I would say no! The pan touches all 4 sides of the oven, which in my experience won't be good! I have set my round pan limit to a 14in. Squares are easier as you can make a 20in square up of 4 10 in cakes!

Well, I have plenty of room on the sides of the pan, I can fit my 12x18 sheet pan in with no problem, but I am afraid that the door will be pushing on the pan. Even it closes ok, will it bake ok? Also had anyone tried the 1/2 pans? Are the easy to combine for doweling and frosting?

I have the 1/2 round 16 inch pan. I had no problem with it, just glue the two 1/2's with frosting.
