Hey Everyone,

I just found out today that we have clubs at school tomorrow. Needless to say, my club is the cake/cookie decorating one. icon_biggrin.gif However, I don't want to bake tonight, I'm a little burned out, and was looking for an idea for something edible and spring like that I could do with my students. They are 7th and 8th graders, so it can be somewhat complex. So far in my searching, I've found ladybug oreos and butterfly pretzels and that's about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

too bad you don't wanna bake....do you happen to have cake scraps in the freezer???? LOL I was going to suggest the recipe for cake balls...you could have them add all the ingredients in class and form them into egg shapes for easter....and then dip them in melted candy melts in different easter colors. The oreo lady bugs are a good idea.....you can also make bumble bees out of tootsie rolls and yellow gumdrops, cut and stacked together in alternating colors...yellow, brown, yellow, brown...and use sliced almonds for wings...those are really cute too.

That sounds great. I do have cake scraps. I've been baking every day for the last week, which is why I didn't want to tonight. icon_smile.gif I like the bumble bee idea too. I knew you guys would come through.

How about a garden cake? Chocolate pudding, oreo crumbs, gummy worms, and make flowers from gummy candies (life saver chews, starburst, peach slices, etc). No bake, spring-y, and creative! I like this for kids since they don't have to use an oven to make it, so it's safer.
