Hey out there. Im fairly new to all this and I've been reading alot about hi-ratio shortening. Can you guys give me the names of some of them? I'd like to see if I can find it where Im at. Is it pretty expensive? Can I get in in small quantities? right now I have just been using crisco.

Yes, those are two of the most popular icon_smile.gif

You can order it in smaller quantities from www.sugarcraft.com.

I use Alpine or Sweetex (whichever I can get cheaper). I did not like PS99 brand.

I've never ordered it online before but my local cake supply store sells Sweetex for something like $1.29 or $1.39/lb.
