Do I Refrigerate Fondant Cake?

Hey all-made a cake and covered in fondant to take to class tomorrow night. We were supposed to cover in class, but I did it on my own today...fun! icon_smile.gif I will be adding some more decorations tomorrow and in class-do I refrigerate it or just leave it in cake storage container overnight???? TIA now onto making my first order cake! Seeing icing and cakes all day icon_eek.gif

Unless the cake has a perishable filling or icing you don't need to refridgerate. It is possible to refridgerate a fondant covered cake but you have to make sure you don't touch the cake once out of the fridge until the condensation dries.

No filling, so it is on the counter in my cake holder. Can't wait to learn fondant roses! thanks for your reply icon_smile.gif

yay for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nope, if nothing perishable in the filling you can leave it on the counter. did you use milk or water in the buttercream under the fondant? if you used milk it may need to go in the fridge.

fondant will only sweat in humid months if refridgerated.

you can refrigerate it if you want to, but it is not necessary
