I thought about this last night and was wondering if the "DH" we use stands for Dear Husband or for possiblyanother kind of husband icon_surprised.gif . When I have used it, my meaning was "dear". Just wanted to clear that up

When I have seen it used, I'm sure it was refering to a type of husband , lol. Unless of course that someone's husband was being doctored with buttermilk and leveled with a very sharp knife.

This is so funny that I see a topic posted on the DH... I layed in bed last night after I finished decorating a cake and wondered what it meant also... Thanks for the lesson on the DH !!

Well - to be honest. My DH stands for a bit of a sarcastic "oh my dear" husband. As in "oh - dear" husband has got my cakes plastered again. Or oh - dear husband doesn't like my icing. (come to think of it: my DH is most of the time a NSDH: not so dear husband icon_rolleyes.gif )

When I first starting seeing DH on another forum I thought that it meant "dear heart". I still read it that way. I never read it as dear husband always dear heart.

Well, in my case it would be departed husband, as in ex...which then leads to some of the other less flattering d's! Janice
