I love the effect of flowers, stars, balls, ect. coming out of the cake on wire... Is it florist wire? Is there a certain type of wire that is best? Where can I find it? Any tips on using this "wire" would be greatly appreciated....
TIA, Christy

i get my wire in the floral dept at michaels or hobby lobby. just make sure you buy a heavy gauge wire so that it stands up and/or is stiffer. I learned that one the hard way. LOL

I have read on here from other members that you should cover the part that goes into the cake with royal icing to be safe. I just thought I would share in case it wasn't known.

I use floral wire from the floral department at Michael's as well. I use different gauge depending on what I am doing with it.

I insert straws where the wire will go so it never comes into contact with the cake.

Hope that helped!
