Help With This Cupcake Tecnique.....??

I am trying to pipe my cupcakes so that they look like they have big fat swirls kind of like 3 inner tubes stacked on top of each other or kind of like circular donut shapes on top of each other. I hope I am giving you guys a good visual. I saw this kind of piping on www.cakestudionyc.com. Do you know what tip I would use I have an large 804 Ateco do you think that will do the trick?? Thanks for your help in advance. icon_biggrin.gif

That website doesn't show me any cupcakes...I think I know what you're talking about, though. I believe the 1m (2110) tip will work.

You're welcome! icon_smile.gif I use a large round tip for that type of thing...have even been known to just use the coupler without a tip too... icon_redface.gif LOL

I would suggest a tip #12

I would go with a coupler without a tip or a large round tip(one that would be used with a large coupler). I think a tip 12 would not give you the ice cream look.

The cupcakes are really cute! icon_smile.gif

Sheesh, those frogs are cupcakes! icon_eek.gif I don't think a 12 is large enough but would still do a nice job.

I also just use the coupler with no tip. A larger tip would work too, with the bigger coupler.

Those cupcakes are so cute! I am trying to make some like that at the end of the month, but I got my inspiration from Leda's Bake Shop. I bought the Wilton tip 1A I think it was - the large round tip. Can't wait to see how yours turn out!
