Hi all i'm new to this site and have learned sooo much already! In the past i have made my own fondant from the wilton recipie but have read so muc about the MMF i was wondering about trying it. What's the difference in the texture? Do it roll out very think with more elasticity?
Thanks for any replies.

Hi and welcome to CC! I haven't made MMF before so hopefully someone else can answer this for you!

I am pretty new to this as well. I have made MMF twice. It rolls out well, but sometimes I have to put it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it up. I make mine by hand because I don't have a KA, so most of the mixing and smooth texture comes from kneading it for me. But it tastes SO much better than Wilton and better than Satin Ice to me.

I love the taste of MMF so much more! It really is easy to make and work with. I mix mine by hand as well. You can also add many different flavors to it. Almond is yummy and I know some people use the flavored coffee whiteners.....though I haven't tried it yet. I also put mine in the micro for a few secs to warm it up just a little and use lots of shortening on my hands to knead it.
