LOL, my best friend and I have been raiding her husbands garage to look for things that we could possibly use for cake decorating; he has a two car garage full of nothing but tools. We're going to take pictures of what we find, have him help us label the pictures, and take a trip to Lowes after we're done with our friends wedding this weekend. Poor guy, we've encroached into his "man's" territory. LOL, he actually thinks it's really cool. He's supportive of what we're doing. He had this cool little plastic guide hanging on the wall that has lots of difference sized circles; it looks like a pearl cutter/sizing guide. It's never been used; he has several of them. I asked him if I could have it and he gave it to me. Exciting! It's soaking in a light bleach solution now.

I have a very big (14 inch) stainless steel cement trowel that I use to smooth the tops of my cake. It is a two-handed job because of it's size, but it does the job in one swoop!
