Does anyone have a chocolate frosting recipe for about 36 cupcakes using all butter as opposed to shortening? Most recipes I find are either too much or too little. Thanks!

Try the chocolate syrup frosting that's in the recipe section here. It's very easy to make, and tastes wonderful!

I use the buttercream dream frosting and add 3/4 cup cocoa powder and 3oz melted unsweetened chocolate and its really good.

I make all of my buttercreams with half butter and half crisco. ALL BUTTER is too unstable to pipe for decorating and last any length of time. I add cocoa powder and salt. Salt enhances the flavor of chocolate in anything.

To enhance the flavour you can also add expresso powder. It makes a great adult chocolate flavour.
You can get that at any cake supply place.
