You can find lots of threads about these colors. But many people find that you get truer colors with the Americolor gels and have to use less to get the color that you want.

From personal experience - the dark colors from Americolor, particularly Super Red and Super Black cannot be beat. I know many people have to use a ton of red from Wilton to get a true red and sometimes it makes the icing taste bad. The Americolor red and black are AMAZING - you get great red and black and don't have to use a lot.

Also, the Americolor caps have a little hole so you can just squeeze color into your icing. No messy toothpicks like the Wilton colors.

I can't say enough about how great Americolor gels are. I'll never to back to Wilton.

Americolor is the way to go. Americolor blends in well (use a wire wisk it works 100 times better than a spatula). As stated above you dont have to use very much to get true bright color. hope this helps you decide.
