Pricing I Know Another Question On It!

I am having so much trouble knowing what to charge for things. I am making a kids birthday cake, it will be a 9x13 carved in the shape of a TMNT and iced in BC with fondant accents and then another 9 in round (not stacked) cake decorated in BC. I know it is hard without seeing it but any ideas. I was thinking $25. TIA
um...not $25! I dont know what a TMNT is but it also depends on 1 layer or 2 for the sheet cake? How much decorations are going on?
I would probably say $75.
Please do not sell that cake for $25. It will be worth so much more than that. First of all, add up your cost which includes ingredients, cake boxes, boards and you need to think about your cost in bags, icing colors and things like that. It will also cost you to run your oven and think about all your time in mixing the cake, the icing, doing the dishes, decorating the cake and cleaning up that mess. Your time deserves payment also. Please take these things into consideration.

I struggled with this also when i started. Keep in mind this is not a standard grocery store cake and they sell em all day long for 25.00. Most people do not mind spending 75.00 or more for a unique cake for thier family and friends. Your time and talent is worth more than 25.00
