while still in mold and still setting...

lay on stick and drizzle w/ more chocolate

allow to harden and for extra measure and some more over the stick so it is well embedded in chocolate on the back of the cookie. -- the back will not be smooth but have a hump where the stick is.

i guess im a bit confused. LOL
I thought i'd stick it on the bottom, not the back. i guess it makes more sense to do it on the back. icon_redface.gif
oh dear, i don't know what i was thinking.

Thanks Doug!

I have had no luck with attaching stick to the backs. They always fall off. Let me know if it works for you.

to get it to be on the bottom you'd have to shove it up into the filling of the oreo and somehow not split the cookie apart.

a hint on attaching to back...dip the end of the stick in chocolate first so fully coated and lay on the still UNSET chocolate in the mold so they fuse together.

I'd still add more chocolate later to cover the stick even more after it sets

(just sent a message to SpinningLeaf.com to ask them to make a set of modified molds just for making oreo lolli-pops. You all write too!!!)

I make these all the time. I actually take a small drill bit and drill a tunnel for the stick to go into. I then pipe chocolate into the inside rim of the cookie so you can dip them nice and clean. HTH!
