A few weeks ago, I was driving around town running errands, and I noticed a pretty new bridal shop I've never seen before. I popped in on the spur of the moment and introduced myself. She's just opening up, but had gotten my card at the recent bridal festival, so she remembered me. She was on the phone, so we couldn't chat, but I left her the one card I had on hand and that was that.

Yesterday she referred a bride to me. icon_smile.gif Though I didn't end up having the date available, I called the shop first thing this morning and thanked her immediately for the referral, so she knows I'm paying attention to who's referring to me. And...She asked me to stop and drop of some brochures for her this afternoon. icon_smile.gif She'd have taken a display cake as well, but she doesn't have room.

So that's cool. Just thought I'd share. It helps to pop in and be spontaneously friendly, even when you're totally not prepared, lol.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, popping in to the local bridal shop. You just never know! I hope something comes of it for you. icon_smile.gif
