To all those who gave me tips thank you so much!
Here is my Spiderman cake, i decided since i didnt have the black couring to do the Spiderman face in fondant, i bought a ready made Spiderman edible image and put it on top of the cake and brushed it with gel and everybody was surprised that i had made the cake!!
A wife of one of my hubands friends said she didnt know why i would give my self the trouble to do a cake when i can order it out!! but i told her that no money can buy the pride in my sons eye and teh happines he felt.
I didnt know that MMF was so hard to work with!! i only used a bit and had lots left over can i freeze it ? i wont need it for a while, my daughters birthday is only in january!! unless i do myself a cake in June but i dont know if it will last till then!!

Kisses

Looks great! You can save the mmf for awhile, just wrap it up really well with a saran wrap and maybe a ziplock. I *think* you can put it in the freezer, but i havent tried it. I really find though that fresh mmf works better. I dont think I would save it for months and try to cover a cake with it personally. I do save leftovers though and sometimes use it for accents or what not. YOu can start making a couple of smaller batches instead of the large one if you only have a small cake to do. Then you wont have so much leftover. You are doing great, and it just takes practice to get the hang of fondant. If i were you, maybe i would just do a couple of practice cakes with your leftovers!

For this to be your first time working with mmf you did an awesome job!
I bet your son was very proud of his mom. And yes the look on your childs face is definately priceless.
