How would I make a 3d computer cake? Looking at a huge flat-panel system if possible, a "dream computer" if you will. Not sure how to secure the monitor so it doesn't fll over.

This will be my first sculpted cake. How are they cut to serve???

Thanks!
Nichole

You might want to check in the gallery and PM the decorator for instructions. icon_smile.gif

Wilton also has one in their Yearbook! I think it was this years or last. Dont remember what the monitor looked like though, It may not be a flat panel.

All the computer cakes I have found are either regular monitor or laid flat on the board. I had thought about doing cardboard covered in fondant, but hoping to have the whole cake edible. I'll admit, I'm trying to show off a bit this time. But I do have good reason for it! I swear! icon_smile.gif

Hi,
I am hoping to do a computer cake soon myself so I did a search online and came up with this website that shows some photos that might help.

I did the one in the wilton book. For a flat panel I think just a sheetcake or even one cut in half so it was very thin. Tilted back would do fine.

Thanks a bunch! The link really helped, and the half-thin sheet is a great idea!
