Ha snaybody ever used the Lorann flavouring? They have so many kinds but I am not sure what I would use them for? Can they be added to bc? IMBC? MMF? Or the cake mix?

Also I am really stuck for what to use for fillings...any ideas would be greatly appreciated icon_smile.gif

TIA!

I have only one Lorann flavoring (they are hard to come by in my area without having to special order). I have used it both in buttercream and to help flavor the cake, also to flavor MMF.

Mine is the "cheesecake" flavor...it's supposed to taste like cream cheese. I don't really think it tastes much like cream cheese or cheesecake, but it has an interesting flavor.

Hi, I have 7 now and use them in my BC, cake batter and even in my chocolate when I'm making cake balls.

For BC, I usually add just 3 drops or so to every 3 cups of icing. It's pretty concentrated. Some flavors more than others.

Right now I have Bavarian Cream (good), champagne (good), strawberry, Banana, coffee, cheesecake and amaretto.

I use them in my BC, IMBC, and the Whimsical Bakehouse BC. I just add them to taste. I don't omit vanilla, I just add lorann oils.

I did a taste test with the Bavarian Cream and Amaretto flavors. I also did a Creme Bouquet flavor for the taste test. The Bavarian Cream won the taste test (my family voted). I bought the cheesecake but haven't tried it yet.

I love using them. I find that it give my icing a subtle flavor that is unique and unexpected.
