hey everyone, this may be an extremely stupid question but can you add food colouring (or wilton colours if that's what you call it) to fondant? Thanks!

Absolutely!!! You can make fondant almost any color under the sun. Just be sure to thoroughly knead the color in, or you will achieve a marbled look. Roll out your fondant to a small flattened ball shape, add a few spots of food color with a toothpick, put on some gloves, and knead away like you would a ball of dough. It takes some serious upper body strength, but you will get great color results that are very customized, unlike the prepackaged colored stuff. Good luck!
