Hi everyone this is Chez from Carolina Cakes! I am thinking about starting a cake decorators group in my county in South Carolina. I know of many cake decorators who are in the area and I just wanted to run it by my ladies her first. If this is a godd idea where do I began? I mean nothing big just meetings and discussions once a month just like a support group. Thanks for your input.

I have no idea where you would start, but I think it would be a great idea! I guess you need people to attend and a place to hold the meetings to start. I would love to have a group to go to here! Good Luck!

The only idea I have is for you to contact one of the cake clubs in your area or ICES may be able to help you there. I think this is a great idea.

our local cake club has a little meeting, talks about upcoming shows, maybe putting on a show or contest, baking for charity. Then the rest or most of the meeting is devoted to learning a new technique, a different member is responsible each month for teaching that technique and provides the materials, members bring their own decorating stuff. fun.
