I need a recipe for cream cheese filling some one told me use cream cheese and powdered sugar but she didn't specify the measurements does anyone know.

I'm making a chocolate sheet cake and was going to fill it with this and do chocolate frosting.

Should I put simple syrup on before I frost?

What is the best way to fill a cake that huge?

Yes, simple syrup is good. The best way to apply a lot of filling is with a pastry bag (you don't need a tip) and just go back and forth or around and around.

My cream cheese filling/icing recipe:

1# c chz
4oz butter
1.5# powdered sugar
vanilla tt

Thanks how would you fill it cut of top with serrated knife and fill or make two cakes and fill?

Depends on whats easiest for you - either will work. I bake mine in the shallow half sheet pans, so I just stack 3 together. If you prefer to use a deeper pan, then go ahead and cut it with a knife.

I made one for Easter cake that I made by folding some regular cream cheese icing (not bc) into a cup of whipped Pastry Pride. I also added some orange zest and a little orange oil. It was light with a cream cheese flavor and a nice hint of orange. Everyone loved it!
