Does anyone have a favorite Pineapple Upside-Down cake recipe that does not use a skillet? And would you be willing to share the recipe? I would like to try this type of cake in the 12" petal pan. I was looking at some posted pictures and it looks so pretty. I just need to find a tried and true yummy recipe.

I love Rose Beranbaum's recipe. It's in the Cake Bible. She gives tips to make it in a spring form pan instead of a skillet. It would probably be the same. She says that you should put it on a preheated cookie sheet so that your sugar will carmelize. Hope this helps!

Thank you! It does help a lot. I have heard people mention the Cake Bible on here several times, I think it is time to pick it up at the book store. I just loved how this cake looked in the petal pan.
