It's my best friend's big 20th birthday and I want to make him a cake..in the shape of him. I only want it about roughly 1 foot tall. Does anyone have any tips on how I will make this? I don't know what I should use for each part.. I was just thinking fondant. I don't really know the difference between using gum paste and marzipan but yeah.. if anyone has any other ideas, I'm completely open to them. TY! icon_biggrin.gif

50/50 gumpaste and fondant!!!!

Careful with the colors. Little at a time. Some colors seem to make the gumpaste fondant toooooo soft.

You may have to dowel the main supports (thru the legs?)

Good luck! I'm sure it'll turn out great!
