Hello,


I need help I have a babyshower in May for a friend and she wants Monkeys....on the cake and I need help making the little guys out of fondant are gumpaste. I don't work very often with the two ,but I am welling to learn.........

Hi Loraw33! Here is a link to a cake on the Wilton site that says how to make monkeys(and other fondant animals). If this is not what you are looking, then I recommend looking thru the monkey cakes in the forums to and find a monkey you like. Then PM the person that made the monkey and ask them for the directions=) HTH some, Jen

Stop by Michael's or JoAnns and look at the clay books - there are so many out there that have monkeys in them! They are not terribly hard to do - sometimes it's just helpful to have a figure broken down into its' simplest parts.

And a hint - I did a monkey figurine (on a smash cake in my photos) that was a great monkey until I got to it's "hands." I was exhausted and just did paws, not realizing how much it took away from the monkey look and made it into a bear. Oh well! I learned my lesson and can pass that on to you!
