I know people come and go from this site all the time. I just wanted to pass along this information, as I really have enjoyed this site and the people who frequent this site for its purpose of gaining information on cake related topics.
Since the end of February I have not had much business. Then I received a few orders at the end of March and beginning of April. So, I haven't been making many cakes lately.
Well, then my dh received news of a new contract offer and that we will be moving in early May. We are currently stationed in Japan, but are now moving to Germany. A majority of my customers are sad, as am I, for I have enjoyed making cakes. I don't believe that I will be setting up my business of making cakes in Germany, but I will check it out when I get there.
I haven't been an 'addict' on cakecentral like so many of you are (which is a good thing, I am not saying it is bad). I just haven't gotten into being a forum responder. I just wanted to thank all the members of CC for their wonderful comments, advice, suggestions, and input. Everyone on here is sooo talented and I have gained such valuable information from this site.
I hope to post more photos as I will continue to make cakes for my family or for friends. I will continue to check back on CC as needed.
For now, I wish you all happy baking and decorating for your special occasion cakes.

a) they have the internet there too.
b) wow! a chance to learn all those fabulous European techniques and recipes first hand (as in real Sacher Torte und Schwartzwaldenkrichtorte, Viennese pastries, etc.)

I know I am one of the few people in the workd that LOVES to move, but I DO..... we had to do that several times with my husband's job.... I ENVY you !! You are going to have SOOO much fun decorating your new house and making new friends, and all the CAKE things you will learn !! Be sure to check in and let us know how things are going, and PLEASE do not give up making your beautiful cakes !!
