Thinking About Doing Bonnet For Mothers Day With Questions

I absolutely love the bonnet cake that someone posted (sorry, I cannot remember who) and I had a couple questions.
I'm still a beginner and have never used fondant yet. I'd love to try the MMF instead of regular fondant for the brim, will MMF still work the same?
Can you just use MMF just like regular fondant? Since I've read that MMF is alot more yummier I'd rather use that and I have the recipe saved already in order to make.
Since this fondant stuff is all new I welcome any tips/suggestions/ideas.
Thanks a bunch
I love that ladycake.
How did you do the brim? I couldn't enlarge your pic to get details. My first couple thoughts was 1) cakeboard decorated with bc or 2) thin cake layer decorated.
Please do share.....

There is a few things you can do ....
you can use the ball pan to make the top part or you can do a circle pan to make your top and make it a flat top I have a photo of that too if you want to see that one...
But you can either buy the beval pan that makes the bottom or you can just get you some stryo form if you dont need that much cake and put your top on a board just the size of the cake so there is not anything hanging over and the only thing that is editable is the top of the hat...
