No - I don't think you should give the money back - especially if she didn't bring it up. I'm sure karateka and littlelinda were asking out of curiosity as to whether SHE did the right thing - not accepting a refund! (I can't speak for them, but as I was reading that's what I was thinking!)
I'm so sorry that this happened to you! I'm so glad that things turned out well and that the bride was understanding and happy. I think you're absolutely right about the vibration from the speakers causing the cake to shift. I think it's good that you did not refund the money, especially after all of your hard work. Please keep on making your beautiful cakes, and keep doing wedding cakes. You are very talented! ![]()

good. I didn't think you meant that, and I wasn't planning on refunding by the end of it all, but just wanted to clarify!!
I'm curious by your questions--did you still think I should give her money back??
No, I didn't think you should give her the money back. Like you said, you probably shouldn't have said it at the reception in the heat of the moment; but since you did, I just wondered if she was still expecting it.
Hi! Just wanted to send you some encouragement. Our wedding cake fell over when I got married. Literally hit the floor. There were fresh flowers on top from the florist...come to find out, there were 7 pounds worth of flowers. : ) But it turned out well. They used all the flowers to cover up the "dings" on the cake. Almost 8 years later, we're still married and we laugh about it now.
Every wedding has to have a little drama....
Your cakes are gorgeous...And you've already experienced your nightmare....and now you can move on. Keep up the beautiful work!!!
