I'm getting ready to cover my first fondant cake (for Easter dinner tomorrow). I've covered with BC, done the Melvira method and the cake is now in the fridge getting really nice and set. What I need to know is can I put the fondant on the cake right out of the fridge or do I need to let it come to room temperature first. Also will the fondant just stick to the BC or do I need to do something to it? Thanks for the help!

bring to room temp first and allow condensation to evaporate.

icing should be a bit tacky so fondant will stick to it and cake as the icing acts like a glue to hold it in place.
