Just wondering what size pans you all use for a sheet cake and 1/2 sheet cake? How many servings do you quote each of them as having?

It depends on what the customer wants. It also depends on the area you live in. I use a 9x13 for 1/4 sheet; two 9x13's for 1/2 sheet; and 4 9x13's for a full sheet.

I'm sure others will respond and have completely different sizes.

So, it's up to you & yours!

Good Luck!

I use an 11x15 pan for my 1/2 sheet. I usually tell them they can get around 40 servings depending on how they cut the slices.

12X18 is my 1/2 sheet.
48 servings sliced 6x8
I don't have a full sheet. I just use 2 halfs.

icon_redface.gif OK.....when I first read chellebell70's post I thought you meant 6" X 8" slices. But now I understand you meant six slices one way and 8 slices the other way. I would be happy with the first size cutting though for myself. icon_wink.gif I also use the 11 x 15 pan as my half sheet.

This is what I use
1/4 sheet - 1 layer - 9x13 - 24 servings
1/2 sheet - 1 layer - 12x18 - 48 servings
full sheet - 1 layer - 18x24 - 96 servings (this is just the two halves put together)

remember bakery cakes are actually smaller than the ones we do in pans because they cut the parge pan in 1/2 and 1/4

look at Walmart the 1/4 sheet is less than 9X13 so when questioned about your price bring that to their attention

I use
9x13- 1/4 sheet, 20 servings ( too small for me) Personally it's more like 12 servings for a decent size piece in my house.

12x18= 1/2 sheet, 36 servings.

Full sheet is two 1/2 sheets side by side.

Ya know, I always thought the store bought 1/4 sheet cakes looked smaller than 9x13. Thanks for pointing that out msmeg.
