I just got some hollow cake dummies. I want to use them for a competition this weekend but I'd like to reuse them as well. How do I get them to stick together without permanently glueing them? Would royal work? Other than that I'm clueless.

Thanks!

Royal icing is all I've ever used to stick "dummies" together. Worked fine. I've often thought of using two sided carpet tape too, but was worried about it tearing the styrofoam. Are your dummies cardboard or styrofoam? If they are styrofoam, I'd use the royal as all you have to do to clean is to wash them. Hope you get an answer.

They are styrofoam. I thought royal might be the only option but wanted to be sure. I guess I could drive a dowel through it too but if I'm off a little then I'd be really mad at myself. LOL!

Thanks for the response!

you might also think about wrapping them in saran wrap. that way you can also use the double stick tape on it and not have to worry about messing up the dummies. Also makes clean up a breeze. Just peel the wrap off, frosting and all and poof.... all clean.
