What is the best frostiing to use for an ice cream cake? TIA!!! Lisa

i like using whipped frosting. it's less rich so it doesn't compete with the ice cream. pastry pride or bettercream are a few of the brands of nondairy filling/frosting products out there.

i have also heard of coolwhip being used..something about mixing together cool whip and vanilla ice cream. but not sure about that one.

or just regular whipped cream
