I know this subject has probably been beat to death here... serving sizes are gonna be the death of me! I'm trying to decide if I should go by Wilton or Earlene. I also saw mention of Collette's chart - does anyone know what that is? Also, the serving chart on Earlene's site appears to be wedding sizes, or are all her servings the same size? aaaarrrgghhh!!!!

I would go with the one with the least amount of sevings per cake. For example, I saw on one chart that a six inch cake will sever 6-8 people. Yeah right!! If you're gonna get two bites out of each slice maybe that'll work. Those are just too small of servings for people around my parts. Here we get about five servings out of a 6 inch cake.

Oh, the dreaded servings question!!!!! LOL icon_lol.gif I tell people wedding servings and tell them just how small they are and for party cakes, plan on twice the amount or a 2x2 on a sheet. To me, that is still not too big!!!!! But, if they are having alot of other food, they might not need a ton of cake. Then, they can decide if they want to get more or not. Just tell them that the number is for whatever size per servings and they can add more if they want. Or, they can decide to cut larger pieces, etc........ thumbs_up.gif
