DH and I are making Easter Bread and the same question just came up this a.m. We are assuming that white sugar is regular sugar. I can't see powder sugar mixing and melting when heated?????

Any help?????

Lu

For bread it would be granulated sugar.

I am not heating my frosting. Mine is being mixed with sour cream. My guess was granulated sugar. I will try it and let you know how it goes. Thank you for your time.

I used granulated sugar and it taste great, but it is so thin that I can see it as a filling with a buttercreme rim, but not as a frosting. I am hoping if I chill it that it will thicken.

again - thank you
