First I would just like to say how much I love CC and you all have taught me sooo much already and I thank you!!

I am making an Easter cake to bring to my father's boss's house for Easter with hopes of maybe getting some word of mouth jobs. I am fairly new at decorating and have taken the first 3 wilton courses. I have the bottom cake as two thin 10" rounds with filling and then the top is the small oval (which will be a basket). I wanted to use fondant on the bottom but was wondering if the basket needs to be centered or can I put it off to one side? And I was also wondering if anyone could suggest the best suport system for the top cake.

Thanks so much!!

Here is an offset cake...not just like yours but may help with an idea of what it will look like? maybe...

I have only stacked one cake and I used the wooden wilton dowel and cut them with snips, very easy. Some people I have heard swear by McDonald's straws!

Edited to paste in link- I forgot the first time! icon_lol.gif

never doubt yourself there is always a way to fix something if it doesnt work out the way that you expected it too...
