After I decided that I was going to make a career change and make cakes for a living.. I've become totally obsessed! Everything I see from a building to a potted plant I end up thinking.. I wonder how I would contruct that out of cake..
Lets hope that I'll become good at my craft so I can actually sell something!

I'm trying to figure out how to do a hot air ballon out of cake. I guess I'll have to post something for ideas. Everything is cake. lol
I don't just see things and wonder how they would look as a cake. I see things that would help make cake decorating easier. I went to Lowe's the other day with my DH to get things for a deck we're building and here I am looking through tools and gadgets to use in my cake decorating 
. I'm going this would work perfect for the corners of a square cake and the salesman is giving me one of these 
looks. By the way its an ouside corner trowel. It has the perfect 90 degree angle to help get sharper corners IMHO.
I have a soft spot for anything that can be used to make cakes look better, like pretty plates instead of boards, etc. I saw a cake just recently where someone used a plant stand for the cakestand and it looked AWESOME!!
