I know it's been asked a zillion times before but I'm at work and don't have the time to search (and I'm being a bit lazy I confess), but what tip do you use and what type of buttercream? Can I use regular buttercream or should I use the stiffer buttercream that is good for roses? I have two recipes - the regular works well for normal stuff, just not flowers so I'm thinking I should use the stiffer? Any advice on how to get good looking grass instead of just a green glob?

Wilton tip #233 is great for making grass ...I use thin consistency BC when making grass! HTH!

This is one of my most favorite tips! I get all giggly when making grass. I know, I'm weird.

I use medium consistency buttercream with great results.

You can also use this tip for hair, although I haven't tried it like that yet.

I love that tip! I have used it for grass, but I also used it for the center of a flower! You can use a thin or medium consistency BC, or you can use one a little stiffer if you want the grass to be longer and "stand up" more.
