I am trying to attempt my first cake for my daughters birthday tomorrow. I went to bake the first cake for the layers. I made a chocolate cake mix and baked it in the 10 in wilton cake pan. On the pan it said to use a whole cake mix (6 cups of batter) and to bake it at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 mintues. I went in at 25 minutes to check it because it smelt like it was burning. I pulled it out and it smells burnt but the middle is still slightly runny. Any suggestions on what I need to do would be so great. Thanks in advance!

I was just going to suggest a flower nail ... also use bake-even strips to keep the outsides moist.
