I know this probably been asked before but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for in the "search". I've read that some of you add gum paste to your fondant to make the flowers. My question is...do you mix the gumpaste according to the recipe then add it to the MMF or do you add the powder to the MMF with out all the other ick.

I am sitting here looking at all the MMF left over from the last adventure and I am jealous of the beautiful flowers that are posted here. I wanted to try it.

Thanks

Shyann

With Tylose, it's the powder you add to the fondant. Just a little bit...like a quarter teaspoon per cup. Not sure about Wilton gumpaste mix, but I'm not sure I'd want to steal out of the can, for fear of messing up the recipe when actually making gumpaste with it. Gumtex powder can also be kneaded into fondant, but I've never used that.

Thank you. I have both and will try it. I just didn't want to mix up another batch of "iky" gumpaste just to add it.

Headed off to the kitchen.

thanks again.
