HELP!!! My sister is having a baby shower which is a BBQ.....I made aBBQ pit once for my husband she is thinking she like sthat with a (plastic little) baby on top.....I like it...but not wowed bu it...so i was thinking about maybe another idea??.....uh umm, except I don't have another idea!!!.....

BBQ baby? Not my idea of a fun cake. Rather morbid.
Let's see if we can satisfy both ideas.
How about you make the grill cake but make shikabobs of baby booties or even baby blocks that spell out B A B Y.
Maybe do two cakes. One of the grill and the other with burgers on it and rattles. Or wait...what if the burgers on the grill spell out BABY in Ketchup or mustard colored icing?

I think she was just trying to combine the two because she had a theme of Grillin for Colin!

How about putting "grilling for colin" on the side of the grill and dress the baby in a chef's hat with a mini spatula in his hand?

What about making a design that looks like it was done with a branding iron, in the shape of a baby rattle or bootie. The cake could look like a big burger or steak with the 'brand' on it. Does that make sense? (I'm up past my bedtime again... lol)
All of these could be really cute cakes...love the idea of the baby 'brand' mark on a steak cake...lol...and the baby with the chef's hat and spatula...really cute! 
Since your sister likes the grill cake idea...maybe you could do 'baby' burgers and 'baby' hot dogs on the grill? Then have 'Grillin' for Colin' on the sides of the grill, as someone else suggested. This could turn out to be a really unique baby shower cake...please post pics of what you decide to do! Good luck!
