It's Wilton tip #233.
Well, it does say "grass tip" in the description and I've used that tip before. The real question was how she did the bunny outline. Would you ice the top of the cake smooth then just start piping grass tip frosting to make the outline, then fill in with the grass tip THEN make the facial details w/ a normal tip? I guess so....but I'd be going into that w/ little confidence! ![]()
maybe you can find a bunny online (try searching for coloring book pages) and then do the pinhole method to get him onto the cake, then outline his features and fill him in with the grass tip.
he really is adorable. nice and furry!
good luck!
Maybe she just iced it then with a very artistic touch, drew a bunny. And then did the grass tip, or found a stencil and used a toothpick to trace around it ( the toothpick is what you can use to draw.). That's what i would have done, in my pics, theres a bunny cake that i just drew with a toothpick. See if this might help. p.s. Instead of a star tip i could have used a grass tip maybe?
or maybe try copying a bunny from on line then doing the outline in gel then pressing it onto the cake? and filling in with the grass tip
Oh yeah.....that would be a bit faster than the tracing method. I would have never thought of that! That's exactly what I'm going to do!
I'll post it when it's all done.
Wish me luck and as always, you guys ROCK!![]()

Ok. I cropped the photo so it only showed the bunny and then traced it w/ black gel and lightly pressed it on the top of the crusted buttercream on top of cake and it came out perfectly. Voila!
So...how do you think it turned out? (the right eye looks weird from that angel but they were identical actually)
I think it looks great!! I never would have thought of using the grass tip that way!! I just used it to make gras so far LOL!!! I bet your family loved it!
