Doctoring A Marble Cake Mix

I am making a marble cake for my sister's birthday, and was thinking of using the DH cake mix. I would like to doctor it to make it taste a little bit more "scratch" like, but I am not sure how to do that with a marble mix. Would I just add the pudding at the beginning and then add the marble mix to that? Would I have to add some cocoa to make the chocolate taste more noticable?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I would start out by doctoring the base mix, and then adding the chocolate packet as normal. I don't think the chocolate would need to be doctored any further, as the base mix was done already!

That's so funny you asked this question cause I was about to!

I also want to know if anyone has tried the Cake Mix Doctor's Chocolate Marble Cake? How was it? Would I be better off doctoring a DH marble mix or using the Chocolate Marble Cake recipe? Thanks!

I have been looking everywhere in my town for that book. I would imagine it is available in Canada!
Would you be willing to post that recipe from the Cake Doctor book?
