It's in Chicago, I am assuming? Curious to find out more from those who've gone. . . (i.e. discounts, variety, demos?)

I went for the first time last year. I could have spent the whole day just looking through everything. I can't wait to go back and stock up again!!

Woodridge is a suburb about 20 miles west of Chicago. They have a tent set up about the size of a football field, and they have anything Wilton, plus picture frames, kitchen gadgets, and everything is usually 50% off. They do have some discontinued items, last year I found a 2002 Yearbook. To sum it up in one word, AMAZING!!

Love the sale!! I go at least twice a year and end up spending hundreds of dollars. You can get tons of things for at least 50% off. They have everything! I usually start my list early..It's easy for me to go, I live about 15 minutes away.

I'll see ya'll there!

Anyone else going? I will be there June 2, making a weekend out of it and seeing friends up there. But when I get off the plane, I'm going straight there, they have to wait. icon_lol.gif

I'm going on Friday - apparently my card says I can get in early (3:30) on opening night. So I'm going with my "cake buddy"

And I'll go at least one other time, if not 2 or 3 - cuz my mom will be in town - she loves to go. My oldest daughter will probably want to go. Etc... icon_wink.gif

This year's wish list is pans and large bottles of butter flavor.

What's this "card" you speak of?

I'm making a list also and trying to hold off on buying anything right now unless I really need it. I may have to take an empty suitcase. icon_razz.gif

I'll be there! I drove by it on Friday on the way to the Wilton store and the tent is up and they were getting ready! I can't wait! I've got my list ready and I will be there when the doors open, it's only about 10 minutes from where I work!!

I went just about every other day last year and sure I will make many trips this year.

hmmmm, should I drive to the tent sale? lol

We will be going to St. Louis during that time. It's just another few hours to the tent. I'm debating about just adding a couple of days to the trip and going to the sale.

To those who have gone before - is it worth the drive? I'm I going to save lots of $$$? What type of items do they have on sale?

I think it would be worth the drive! It's only about a 4 1/2 hour drive from St. Louis.

They have EVERYTHING on sale. They usually wont have their brand new products there but everything else is there.

Cake boards, boxes, cake pans, color gels, tub frosting, tips. bags, flavorings, candy making stuff, home stuff, cup cake stands, cake carriers, cake stands....

I could go on and on but I have to get ready for work. icon_biggrin.gif

It's a gret time to stock up on things!!

My Mom just called last night and told me it was time for it. She lives a few minutes away from there. thumbs_up.gif She wants me to come visit for a couple of weeks which is the time during the tent sale thumbs_up.gif BUT I have some cakes due during that time thumbsdown.gif

Maybe I should send her a shopping list icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif

I'm hoping to be there this weekend shopping. I'm thinking about making a shirt with "MOMSANDRAVEN" and my avatar printed on it so any of you CCers can say hello if you see me there! LOL

On my list: Lg cans of meringue powder, lg bottles of butter flavor, another set of heart pans, hexagon pans, & oval pans, a couple of cake stands, a whole bunch of pastry bags, cooling racks, and any other stuff I see that I will 'need' for my new store!

I'm thinking of going on Saturday, but I want to go again at the end of the sale if I think it's worth a second trip. (Fingers crossed!!) I can see several of us fighting over the big bottles of butter flavor! icon_wink.gif

Well, today is Wednesday and I finally made it to the sale. I was a little disappointed, I usually stock up on the large bottles of butter flavor, but I didn't see any at all this time. icon_sad.gif Did one of you ladies buy it all?? (Melvira???) icon_wink.gif I also didn't see any of the 4 pc square pan sets, which was on my shopping list. I decided to buy enough of the 4 pc. pan sets so that I have 2 of each. I have this big ol' oven to bake in now, I need to fill it up!

I *guess* I'll have to go back again on a different day to see if they have the things I didn't get this time... oh bother... icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

edited to fix typo
edited again to accuse Melvira of buying all of the large butter flavor before I could get there! LOL!!

Oh wow, I stand corrected Melvira! LOL I suppose since you have so much evidence in writing that there was no butter flavor available in the lg. bottles, I'll let you off the hook. icon_razz.gif
I meant to say above that I didn't find the tall tier cake stand, now that you mentioned it (in one of the other posts.) I sure wish I could've gotten there Saturday to look for you!

I'm thinking about planning something special for any CCers that come to Rockford in October to see Duff, let me know if you're interested!

Oh you KNOW it! I am totally interested in getting together with people! And thanks for understanding that I truly am not a butter hog. Well, I would've been if there had been some there, but since there wasn't I can maintain my indignant "I didn't do it" attitude!!! Hahahahahha!

What a small world! We have gone to Kirkland's 4th of July fireworks & parade for the last 3 years! That's only a hop, skip & a jump from my house. icon_biggrin.gif
