How many days before can we bake a cake from cake mixes?
I have to make a cake for Sunday morning so can I make it on Friday night?
Will it be good or I have to make it on Saturday?
I made lots of cakes but a day before. Now I got this kind of new problem so feel really bad icon_redface.gif but hey I learned almost everything from CC so don't care how I feel. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for helping me in advance.

your cake should be fine .. on friday night when you are done baking it you can either let it cool all the way and then wrap it up in saran wrap and refridgerate it or you can wrap it while it is still warm and then refridgerate it .. some people say studies have shown that wrapping a warm cake can lead to bacteria growing on your cake but I do mine this way and never had any complaints .. I think the cake stays more moist when done this way .. hope this helps!

Thanks what a big relief. I always making my cakes a day before and then cut, brush with sugar syrup and then wrap and then keep them in to the refrigerator but this is for a day and now I have to make them two days before so worried. Some of my cake I baked and decorated within a two hours. I am throwing my cakes in the freezer for quick cool down. icon_sad.gificon_smile.gif

Thanks TheCakerator, you got me out of tension.
